The Day My Racket Gave Way
My Yonex racket string finally broke. After 3 years of usage. But has been working this racket harder than usual this past month.
Managed to restring it at Queensway and i am ready to hit some balls again. Tried the restrung racket last saturday. Feels comfortable so all it is good. :)

The books that i have read for the past weeks. As you can see, the books are sort of finance related. The one on the right is easy to read, easy to understand though i don't quite agree with he says.
The book on the left is much tougher to understand and digest and is more informative than the first.
Time to source for new reading materials!

Beijing and HK
Did a trip to Beijing and Hong Kong in Jan. So the pictures are really very dated. First time to these 2 cities and certainly an eye opener.
I really like Forbidden Palace. It is my first time stepping into this majestic palace. Totally sprawning. Of course, my perception of this place was affected by one of my favourite HK drama " Wars of the Beauties". So basically i was looking for the various palaces occupied by the empresses and concubines, like Kunning Gong, Zhong Cui Kong etc.
At the same time, i was pondering about the lifes during that time. I would suppose the concubines and maids, servants would be lonely. Their lifes would be confined within the tall, red bricks, having no idea of the world outside.
HK is totally an international modern city. The uniqueness of HK comes from the fact that u can find skyscrapers next to a street market or an old disused building. Can't really find this sort of thing in Singapore.
On a side note, the last picture totally added a lot of brownie points to my face. Looks totally cool with that sunglass which i bought at Ladies's Street in HK for HK$50. My friends couldn't recognised that the cool dude is actually me. :)
