Guangzhou

Took a week of vacations 2 weeks ago. One was to go for a weekend trip to KL, mainly to catch the ATP Malaysian Open which was my previous entry. The other was to go for another weekend trip to Guangzhou with the Lup Sup gang (ok, those guys will kill me for saying that) Basically, these guys are from the Bloomberg chat rooms, consisting of friends from the university, not exactly the closest friends that i have, but bonded well since we chat almost everyday about work related topic and of course bullshitting around as well.

I know Guangzhou is probably not exactly the most popular tourist place, but heck it, good friends, cheap food, cheap drinks, is all that matters. Dun expect too much from the place and might be pleasantly surprised, but the buds are good! Pure sin, sleaze (ok, i am talking big). Partying is damn good!

Pictures as follows....

Ti Yu Xi road..the same street where our apartment was.

Posing beside the Pearl river, the 3rd longest river in China.

One more......

Posing in front of my camera in our clubbing attire. Time to hit the clubs! We went for 2 consecutive nights, mind you! Drinks? 1 bottle of Chivas cost RMB 499 only, complete with mixers!

Shagged look after a crazy night out, but still we dragged ourselves to yum cha :)

To prevent us being labelled as lup sup chiongsters, we threw in some cultural sightseeing as well. This one below is the Sun Yat Sun Memorial Hall.

Statute of the 3 rams which is located inside some park

personally, this is the hightlight of my cultural tour. The tomb of one of the emperor.

Guangzhou's night can look beautiful as well. :)

Cheers to our short but fun GZ trip. We shall do another trip real soon!

KL (3 Oct - 5 Oct)

Just came back from my maidian trip to KL, the capital city our northern neighbour. I am posting some of the pictures that i have taken from my camera; the majority of the nicer pictures would come from the Zhiqian's WAT friends. This KL trip was supposed to be a solo trip for me, because i would have gone alone to watch the Malaysian Open tennis tournament. Zhiqian came to learn that i was going and thus he and his friends made the trip as well. I am glad that I tagged along with those guys as well. For sure, there is pleasure and different experience travelling alone, but i made some new friends within the 48 hour time period and had a blast with the guys as well.

Some pictures.....

Day 1: Check in Swiss Garden Hotel, not a bad hotel, just 5 mins from Berjaya Times square

After lunch, stumbled upon BY2 performing at Sungai Wang Plaza, rehearsing for the Mooncake festival show in the evening

No... they are not the biggest star around...JJ Lin was there as well :) Lucky us!

Dinner time. Look at the freaking huge crabs! The entire dinner cost SGD20 only.

Twin Towers at night.

Day 2: Breakfast@ Hotel. Breakfast was avvverage. ZQ was pouty that there was no scrambled eggs!

Shopping at Pavillion. High end mall but KL has Club Monaco! Why Singapore no have!

On the way to Bukit Jalil Stadium but ended up losing our way. The rail system deserves a big fat D really!

Finally, the entrance of the stadium! The highlight of my trip!

Go Verdasco! The guy in yellow, but he lost :(

Posing in front of the court :)

After the match, parted ways with the ZQ gang as they made their way to Genting, while i checked in into my hotel on top of Mid Valley Mega Mall. It is HUGE!

The view from my room's lift lobby. Can see KLCC leh!

Day 3: Cam whoring while sipping Old Town White Coffee at the LCCT :)
